ENOVA challenged first year high school students to come up with solutions for future maritime transportation. The Norwegian Minister of Transport and Communications Ketil Solvik-Olsen opened the camp, highlighting the importance of the maritime industry for Norway and the World, and the need for reducing GHG emissions and other environmental challenges.
Kuben High School took the challenge head on and the first year students where given guidance by industry participants from Ocean Industry Forum, NorShipping/Ocean Talent Camp, Höegh, ABB, TorsetConsulting and MBF.
There were a lot of good ideas ranging from bio-fuels and solar to batteries and hydrogen, windmills and wave power. The winner showed an innovative design named ECO SWIM (picture).
