West, in collaboration with the Maritime Battery Forum, is pleased to announce a webinar series titled “Debunking Myths Regarding the Safety of Lithium-ion Batteries”. The inaugural session will concentrate on the safety implications of all types of Lithium-ion batteries carried aboard vessels and will cover best practices for their handling and transportation, supported by case studies and recommendations from the EU LASHFIRE project.

The session will be co-hosted by Vinay Singh, Loss Prevention Officer, WEST and Syb ten Cate Hoedemaker, Managing Director, Maritime Battery Forum on 21 January 2025 at 2pm GMT.
