Which battery for your ship? -Comparison and Q&A with the manufacturers- @Posidonia

  • Seminar room 1A Athens Metropolitan Expo S.A. Athens International Airport "El. Venizelos", 19019 Spata, Attica Greece (map)

The second edition of the Which battery for your ship? -Comparison and Q&A with the manufacturers- will take place during Posidonia. On June 7 2022 from 16:45 until 18:30 you will be able to find out all about the different maritime battery systems currently on the market.

With the rapid increase in demand for maritime batteries, the number of battery manufacturers on the market rises just as fast. Staying up to date on who the suppliers are and what kind of battery systems they offer is starting to become a full time job. The Maritime Battery Forum wants to make it easier for you by inviting you to the “Which battery for your ship?” event.

Spear Power Systems
Spear Power System designs and manufactures safe, reliable, high performance energy storage systems (ESS) for clients with some of the world’s most demanding marine, industrial and defence applications. Spear takes a cell agnostic approach towards integrating its in-house designed, scalable electronics, software, and mechanical systems with the most application-appropriate battery chemistry to maximize value for its clients. Thanks to our experience and know-how, the presentation will provide insights for sustainable choices in battery design.

Freudenberg Battery Power Systems LLC
Freudenberg Battery Power Systems, LLC, focuses on the development, production, assembly, and service of battery systems for heavy duty applications in the truck and bus, marine and mining industries, among others. From the development and installation of our first lithium-ion battery system for passenger buses in 2016, we now have more than one thousand battery electric powertrain systems in the field. They have completed more than 20 million miles with the highest reliability, giving us access to one of the most comprehensive reliability data collections in the industry.
