On January 12 we organized a webinar on Battery Aging, presented by Dr. Frank Richter from Greenectra. A great way to start the year with gaining some knowledge on such an important topic. We also collaborated with EOPSA for a webinar on “OPS & EU FUNDING" with CINEA and BNP. Thanks a lot EOPSA for this collaboration!

The Battery Safety working group had a meeting on the Onboard Battery Safety Sheet. Some good discussions took place, and soon we will release this battery safety checklist on our website.

On January 23rd, Corvus Energy opened their first battery factory in the US and invited the MBF to the grand opening. This was followed by their Green Shipping Conference in Seattle on January 24th, where the MBF presented on the developments of the MBF Americas hub. On January 31st the MBF joined the Nordic Workshop on Shore Connections in Oslo,

Besides all these activities, we also have 2 new members joining this month: Rauma Marine Contractors and Sanmar Shipyards.
