NTNU is establishing first continuing education for engineers in battery technology

The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) is developing an educational program for engineers who want to increase their knowledge in battery technology, after a request from the Norwegian battery industry for more skilled and educated people.

As mentioned in an article by Industri Energi - Milestone with new continuing education course for the battery industry, “the new course in battery technology is suitable for engineers who want to learn about batteries or retrain. Engineers can already apply for admission to the very first course starting May 18”.

The article continues: “The course is for engineers with a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree, who want to familiarize themselves with battery terminology and technology. There may be people who work in other industries who feel they need an upgrade or who want to get into a different type of industry. For example, people who work in oil and gas.”

The Maritime Battery Forum supports the efforts by our observer NTNU in the development of more educational programs for battery technology, as it will drive the industry forward.
