Decarbonizing maritime transport - A study on the electrification of the European Ferry Fleet [2022]

Report by Siemens Energy and Bellona showing that European ferries can go electric today and decrease the CO2-emmisions with 50%.

The report shows that up to 800,000 tons of CO2 -emissions can be reduced by electrification of the ferry fleet in Italy, Greece, Germany and the UK.
