Ocean-going cargo ships with batteries

The MBF is collaborating with CIMAC on a joint white paper on the use of batteries on board ocean-going cargo ships. The goal is to determine the opportunities, requirements, and limitations of batteries on these types of ships.

Currently a group of MBF and CIMAC members is working on the first of a series of 3 white papers. This first white paper will be focussed on the applications and use cases for batteries on board ocean-going cargo ships.
