Vard Electro will give us an insightful and exciting presentation on their story about the REV Ocean project and the usage of batteries on multifunctional vessels.
The speakers:
Bent Erik Nedrevold
With experience both as a service engineer being in lead at commissioning, engineering of power systems and as a system integrator of power and propulsion systems, he has a vast experience in the ship building segment with especially focus on power systems. In addition he has also experience from customer side of the value chain, where he acted as an Inspector of new buildings for a major shipowner.
Currently his role is in Vard Electros Sales Department, and he will guide us through the presentation of the REV project.
Vidar Selen
Vidar Selen is a software developer at VARD Electro developing control systems for marine power production and distribution. He has a Master of Science degree in Simulation and Visualization from the Norwegian University of Science and technology. He started in VARD Electro in 2009, at the production department and have since work his way through service, commissioning and engineering, to the research development department in VARD Electro. Since 2016 he has been working on a control systems platform for hybridization ships, which is applied to all of VARD Electro’s hybrid and fully electric vessels.
