Webinar - "Batteries on board ocean-going vessels from a two-stroke perspective" (members only)

Short about the topic:

The webinar will cover where potential lies for battery application on large ocean-going vessels and investigate where there is not. The webinar will also address some do’s and don’ts in connection to batteries and propulsion. The greatest benefits are discovered to lie in the benefits of integrating batteries into the electric grid on board why great emphasis is given to this subject.

Speakers:

The webinar will be given by Dr. Susanne Lehner and Philip Holt, both working at MAN.

Dr. Sussane Lehner:

Susanne Lehner is currently Head of Hybrid and Batteries at MAN Augsburg.. She studied electrical engineering and has a PhD on battery system development. In 2017, she joined MAN to form a group on advanced engineering, focusing on batteries and hybrids for marine stationary applications.

Philip Holt:

Philip is currently Naval Architect, M.Sc., Two-stroke Marine Project Engineering at MAN Copenhagen. He has specialized in Naval Architecture and has been working with ship propulsion at MAN since 2018, investigating interactions of hull, propeller, engine, and alternative propulsion aids for compliance with future legislation.

How to sign up:

The webinar is for members only. The member contacts will receive an email with information on how to sign up. Want to join? Send an email to director@maritimebatteryforum.com.
