Webinar - "Class rules for battery powered ships, the 2020 July update"

Lunch with the Maritime Battery Forum and get an update on the latest class rules for battery powered ships.

The webinar will be on the 11th of November at 11:00 CEST.

The webinar will address updates that are based on:

  • The fire incident on the battery-powered ferry MF Ytterøyningen

  • The need for route independent calculation and supervision of ESS capacities

  • The knowledge from the battery safety JDP

Speaker: Sverre Eriksen

Sverre Eriksen is Senior Principle Approval Engineer at DNV GL Maritime, Electrical Systems. He has a Master of Science degree in Electric Power Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He joined DNV GL in 2008 and has been responsible for developing the DNV GL class rules for battery powered ships since 2011. Besides from class rules development he works with approval of electrical installations on ship and offshore units.
