Enova has launched a new support scheme

Enova has launched a new support scheme where companies in fishery, aquaculture and offshore can apply to get financial support for installing batteries and shore power systems in both new and existing vessels.

The aim of the new support scheme is to accelerate emissions reductions at sea and contribute to a market change where zero-emission vessels become competitive compared to the conventional solutions.

The investment support will cover part of the additional costs of installing battery solutions for propulsion, compared with conventional solution. The program also provides support for the installation of shore power system in vessels according to the shore power standard NEK IEC / ISO / IEEE 80005-1 and -3. No support is given for other energy and climate measures or infrastructure over this program.

Enova also invites to a webinar to tell you more about the new support scheme. You may sign up to the webinar here.

The program is applicable for ships that:

  • are registered in NIS or NOR, or be able to document that at least 1/3 of the ship's calls are to Norwegian port or that the ship operates at least 1/3 of the time in Norway and / or in the Norwegian economic zone.

  • shall be one of these types of vessel: Fishery, Aquaculture or Offshore (more specifications in the program requirements).

Remember to read the program requirements, as well as the general requirements.
