Dear Maritime Battery Enablers, here are the latest updates on our upcoming events and activities. We had a great summer with many new members joining the MBF, bringing the total now to 63 members!

The total number of ships with batteries installed on board increased again. Our ship register now counts a total of 665 battery powered ships and a total installed battery capacity of 575 MWh!

Marine Electrification Seminar - Singapore

On Wednesday 12 October 2022 the MBF will organize its first event in Asia as we will have our Marine Electrification Seminar in Singapore. This will be a full day of interesting presentations on the electrification of the maritime industry in Singapore and a good chance to meet all the parties that are working on this. MBF members get 2 free tickets to attend this seminar, if any more employees want to join, they get a 50% discount on the 200 SGD ticket. Battery Safety JIP - Report on results survey: “Safe integration of batteries on board ships”

As part of the Battery Safety JIP a survey has been held on the topic of “Safe integration of batteries on board ships”. The report of the results of this survey is now available HERE.

MBF Report on “Current Status of Maritime Batteries and Future Outlook”
