Exciting news from Corvus Energy - to start development of maritime fuel cell systems

Our member, Corvus Energy, announced earlier this week that they are to start development of maritime fuel cell systems with hydrogen fuel cell technology supplied by Toyota.

The fuel cell systems will be developed in collaboration between Crovus Energy, NCE Maritime CleanTech (a collaborating partner of the forum), our member Equinor and other key players Wilhelmsen, LMG Marine, Norled and UNS.

The project has received EUR 5.2m in funding from state agency Innovation Norway bolstering Corvus’ front-runner position in clean technology for maritime and other sectors. The development is scheduled to showcase its first marine fuel cell system onboard a vessel in 2023 and the product will be marine certified and available for commercial delivery from 2024.

Learn more about the project in the announcement from Corvus. See link below.

We hope that some of our members see this as an opportunity!
